Founded in 1963 by Jean Louis Noisiez, the GSF Group has progressively imposed itself on the cleaning world. With 28,000 employees in France and throughout the world, for a turnover of 660 M€ in 2012, it has posted constant growth for 50 years. This fabulous success, driven by one man and his teams, rests on 5 fundamental cornerstones: complete independence, an HR vision that respects employees, controlled development, quality organised and established at every level and, finally, a genuine sense of responsibility with important CSR actions.

The family-owned group generated 688.5 million euros in turnover in 2013. Operating income has almost doubled at 3.95%. The target is 800 million euros in turnover for 2016.

GSF, the Group specialising in cleaning and associated services, is committed to continuously improve its environmental commitment. As a service provider, it supports customers by offering increasingly innovative tools to help with their certification, particularly for the HQE standard (High Quality Environmental). Certified ISO 14001, the company also implements various CSR initiatives. GSF has a “Gold” ranking awarded by Ecovadis and is “Advanced” according to the Global Compact.

After creating business unit “GSF Energia” in 2012 dedicated to its development in the nuclear sector, the Group has won its first contract to clean the EDF power station in Dampierre (45). This contract will open the doors to an operational nuclear site and enable the company to develop this activity on other sites.

The prize ceremony for the 4th edition of the “GSF Springboard” was held on 26th June at GSF head office in Sophia Antipolis. Since 2010, the French specialist in cleaning and associated services has organised this competition open to students on Environmental Science and Business HND courses. For the GSF Group, which recruits several dozen young inspectors every year, it is a great opportunity to identify the sector’s future talents. Participants enjoy an initial and enriching professional experience through an innovative project. We take a look back at the results and challenges of the 2014 edition.

GSF has been organising “GSF Springboard” competitions for 3 years. This competition is open to students studying for an HND in Hygiene, Cleaning and the Environment and aims to promote the cleaning industry, whilst helping develop innovation in the profession. It is also a chance for the Group to pass on its values and identify tomorrow’s talents whilst encouraging young people to join the workforce.
