EVOLVING WORKSPACES...

GSF follows developments in workspaces very closely. These innovations herald new approaches to hygiene and cleanliness, in terms of methods or services to provide. Today these changes essentially concern GAFA-type companies (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon), start-ups and co-working spaces. An example with this co-working space-nursery!

GSF JUPITER WINNER OF THE 2015 DISABILITY AND EMPLOYMENT AWARD

As the French Diversity Charter stopped off in Marseille on its national tour, IMS PACA, responsible for the Regional Diversity Charter Platform, organised the 5th edition of the Diversity Charter Awards in Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur. These awards are national and recognise the most innovative and high-performing companies in terms of diversity management and anti-discrimination. The jury for the Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur region comprising regional operators committed to diversity (AGEFIPH, CCI Provence‐Alpes‐Côte d’Azur, DIRECCTE PACA, Maison de l’Emploi de Marseille, MEDEF PACA) awarded the Disability and Employment prize to GSF JUPITER, recognising it as the most innovative and exemplary company in its disability policy. FOCUS Before adapting to disability legislation and taking its schemes beyond the legal requirements for the workplace, GSF Jupiter wanted to deal with a double challenge. Firstly, convince disabled workers that they are not excluded from the cleaning industry, regarded as difficult, and convince them that they can work under good conditions. Secondly, successfully adapt different roles to the various disabilities of the people recruited. To achieve this, GSF Jupiter, the GSF Group’s south-west subsidiary, created a “Disability Unit” in 2007. This unit divided its tasks into 2 key areas: recruitment and integration of disabled people into its teams, and support for these people throughout their contract. Amongst the actions taken: review of job specifications to take into account any possible restrictions, integration tracking 3 months after joining the company, raising the awareness of all employees despite the fragmentation of the work sites, letter about disability sent to all customers... All of the actions taken have enabled the company to achieve a 7.8% employment rate for the disabled, far above legal requirements.

GSF IN THE PLANTED TOWERS OF THE FUTURE?

A need for better air quality, a desire to be surrounded by plants and live in greater harmony with nature... The future’s planted towers are involving more and more greenery. This is how Italian architect Stéfano Boeri is designing his new projects. Notably a building in Lausanne which is 117 metres high and includes a hundred-odd trees, 6,000 shrubs and 18,000 plants. One could believe that this approach will be echoed in office developments. A great opportunity for GSF, already tending the gardens of many customers! http://positivr.fr/stefano-boeri-tour-vegetale-lausanne/?mc_cid=7f2f48f2df&mc_eid=29b31329a3

HYGIENE IN REAL TIME

An important GSF innovation in Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport: customer satisfaction terminals installed in the airport toilets. Users are asked to express their opinion on the hygiene and cleanliness of these very important spaces. We have a unique traceability tool that is very useful for our customers and for our teams. The results can be checked via an app and on our a dedicated website. As well as our own image, we believe that these terminals serve the brand image of our customer.
