Management Assistant, GSF Auriga

For customers, the added value provided by a Management Assistant is experience.

I joined GSF in 1991 as Inspector at the Clermont-Ferrand site. I was promoted to Unit Director early 1992 in Rennes where I remained for a year and a half before joining GSF Auriga in Cholet, until 2003. I was then appointed Principal Unit Manager, a role I occupied for 2 years before I became Management Assistant. GSF have always had confidence in me.

Management Assistant is an intermediary role. You have to be open and support the Unit Managers. I work with them in a supporting role, for example when developing important commercial dossiers and also making decisions for them. A Management Assistant must always be humble and do everything to promote the expertise of their colleagues.

For customers, the added value provided by a Management Assistant is experience and responsiveness in decision-making. We are advisors within our company; we pass on GSF know-how.

In my company, I have a 360° view of what is happening. GSF Auriga dossiers are often very technical, so I’m involved in an advisory capacity, drawing on my experience. I’m a good salesman and I like working in the field.

I find the challenges of my role as Management Assistant very motivating.

Management assistant: the relay for the Regional Director

Reporting to the Regional Director, you support him in any decisions concerning your production company. You support the Unit Managers in their sales activities and you manage the sales action plan.

Achieving your company’s quality targets, you :

  • Develop the Sales Action Plan and the operational objectives with the Unit Managers,
  • Assist the Unit Managers with generating sales, canvassing and quotes and negotiations,
  • Ensure the Unit Managers are performing commercially,
  • Manage business activities if the Regional Director is absent,
  • Temporarily replace a Unit Manager,
  • Attend the sales meetings of your production company.
